TOMORROW September 8, 2012 is Annual Southern California Brain Tumor Walk. Registration: 8 – 9 AM Program & Activities: 9 AM – 12 PM. The Southern California Brain Tumor Walk is an inspirational, all-ages fundraising walk and community day to support the brain tumor cause. Form a team of family, friends and co-workers and help make a difference in the fight against brain tumors! ALSO coming up September 14 – October 28, 2012 on Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays is Oktoberfest at the Phoenix Club! The event features Ompapah Bands from Germany, Authentic German Food & Drink, Folk Dancers, and German Items for Sale. This is a fun event for the whole family with Train Rides, Petting Zoo, Pony Rides and entertainment. No admission charges the first weekend this year! NOW through the 30th – Saturday 4:00 pm to 10 pm & Sunday 12 Noon to 8 pm is the Brea Jazz Festival! North Orange County’s best Jazz festival is celebrating it’s 10th year! Brea Downtown will be closed off to traffic to accommodate the thousands of Jazz & Music lovers. In addition to great music, there will be a wine and beer garden, kids zone, entertainment and fine arts and crafts show. General admission is “FREE”. Open seating is first come first serve. You are welcome to bring your own chairs. Reserved seating or V.I.P are $40 each per night. This includes Jazz T-shirt & $125 worth of coupons & gift cards from local merchants. Keep your eyes open for information regarding the 2012 Haunted Fullerton Walking Tours!!!! Did you know Fullerton is one of the most haunted cities around? Ghosts are lurking at every corner. Take this tour and find out what businesses have pots and pans flying around after hours, what famous deceased Fullertonian makes an “appearance” now and then, enjoy some of Fullerton’s history, and where the spirits like to have a beer or two. Don’t miss out on a hauntingly good time! “Ghost hunters” should be prepared to walk approximately 1.5 miles (lasting about 2 ½ hours), and the tours will include climbing stairs. Participants should wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a sense of humor with them. The tour is not recommended for children under 13. It’s strongly advised to get your registrations in early & you can call (714) 738-6545.

Coming up October 13, 2012 is the annual The Heritage Festival and Parade! Since 1965, this celebration of the city’s heritage includes a parade and fair booths. The festivities begin with the Chamber of Commerce pancake breakfast at 6:30 a.m. followed by the parade and band review at 9:30 a.m. The festival begins at 9:30 a.m. and will feature many exciting activities for the entire family including the annual car show, a crafts fair, food booths, kid’s games and more. Traveling Tales: California on the Move, a family festival with demonstrations, maps, music and activities. The free program explores how people got to California, where they were coming from, and how they moved around the state. Parking at CSULB, Lot 11, with free shuttles to the Rancho.
