Coming up Monday, January 16 is the annual Teen Tubing Trip to Big Bear Snow Play!  Let’s go snow tubing at Big Bear Snow Play! We will drive up in a school bus for some fun tubing! Pack a lunch. Limited snacks are available for purchase at the resort. You must register by 5pm on Jan 11. The event will be from 8:00am-3:00pm. The cost is $40/ Register online or in the Parks and Recreation Office at the Crown Valley Community Park.

MISSION VIEJO

January 21, 2012 from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM at the Mission Viejo Civic Center Parking Lot at 200 Civic Center is the electronics recycling event where residents and businesses will have the opportunity to properly dispose of old electronics, including computers, laptops, monitors, keyboards, copiers, VCRs, fax machines, cell phones, printers, scanners, hard drives, stereo equipment, cables and cords, shredders, microwaves, and more. The City of Mission Viejo and the Friends of the Library are teaming up with All Green Electronics Recycling to host this E-Waste Recycle Drive. As a community service, All Green Electronics Recycling will make a donation to the Friends of the Library based upon the amount of materials recycled. SAN CLEMENTE

Plan ahead! Coming up Saturday March 17, 2012 is the annual St. Patrick’s Day Dinner Dance from 5-10pm.  Irish is the theme. Tis’ the 45th annual community St. Patrick’s Dinner Dance sponsored by the Exchange Club in partnership with the City of San Clemente to benefit local charities. Corned beef and cabbage with all the trimmings served from 5:00pm-8:00pm. Ticket donation includes a door prize raffle ticket. Green beer and a full service bar at extra cost. SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO

January 14, 2012 is the annual Fiesta Association Hairiest Man Contest from 1-4pm. One of the wackiest contests the Fiesta Association holds. You must come to the sign-ups with a “Smooth Puss” (clean shaven) and ready to be photographed for the “Most Wanted” poster. You then have 8 weeks to grow a beard or moustache that will be judged at the Fiesta Grande March 17th beginning at 6:30 pm, existing beards and moustaches are also welcome. There is a $5.00 entry fee which goes to support the Swallow’s Day Parade. For more information you can call 949-493-1976.
