DAWG will pay $100 in adoption fees on any adult cat that has been at the facility for more than 60 days. People who adopt adult cats still must pay the $50 fee that covers vaccinations, microchip and flea control. The animal services center also will waive the $100 of the adoption fee for all other adult cats in the facility. The shelter is now accepting applications and has many felines to choose from in various colors, sizes and personalities that are waiting to be placed in permanent, loving homes. If you would like to see these or any of the center’s available animals, stop by the facility at 28095 Hillcrest during operating hours or visit the Adopt a Pet section of our website. SAN CLEMENTE

MEOWW! CALLING ALL CAT LOVERS!!!! For $9 your home can come alive with the quick-footed antics of a happy cat. The nonprofit Pet Project Foundation is helping to discount cat adoption fees in August at the San Clemente-Dana Point Animal Shelter. Adoption fees will be $9 per feline, and PPF also will give away a wide range of free pet supplies to individuals and families adopting a cat or kitten. The price for cats is typically $100. With kitten season in full swing, shelter staff and PPF volunteers worry about the stress of the many homeless cats awaiting adoption at the shelter. Cats under stress typically develop respiratory illnesses. PPF will provide a full “kitty starter kit” to families who adopt a cat during the promotion, including supplies such as a litter box and food bowls. For additional information on PPF or the San Clemente-Dana Point Animal Shelter, visit petprojectfoundation.org or contact Becker at 949-240-0243 or pawlajb@cox.net. Save a life, I promise it will bring a joy to your life you never even knew you could experience.

New airline rules in favor of the traveler!

Hooray for the passenger!

Passengers waiting at Heathrow's Terminal 3

Finally, a bill of rights for the passengers! The Department of Transportation finalized a set of new regulations that took effect on Tuesday in favor of travelers.  Passengers will be compensated for lost luggage, short delays and/or getting bumped off flights, for up to four times the ticket value. Also, these rules will force airlines to display any and all fees on their websites, and allow passengers to hold and return a ticket within 24 hours without a penalty. In addition, it will limit the amount of time a plane sits on the tarmac.

This is great news for the consumer since ticket prices have gone up and airline service has gone down. Finally, we have some rights…

Have a great Thursday…it’s almost Friday!

Caruso’s Buyer Questionnaire

Owning your very own home can be great, when you’re ready. Truth be told, not everyone can or should own a home – even with the many benefits of homeownership.  I have put together a short list of questions that can help you, as a buyer, sort out whether owning makes sense for your personal situation.

1.) Do you want to own a home?

2.) Can you find a home to buy that you like?

3.) Can you find a home to buy that’s located where you want to live?

4.) Can you find a home that you can afford to buy – and own?

5.) Can you qualify for a mortgage or pay cash to purchase a home?

6.) Does the cost of owning a home compared with renting make sense to you?

7.)  Is you job or other source of income secure?

8.) Do you have a financial cushion in case you suffer a serious or prolonged loss of income?

9.) Do you expect to remain in the same community for at least several years?

10.) Do you expect to live in the same home for at least several years?

If you answered yes to these questions, you’re a good candidate to own a home, now call Michael Caruso and let’s get you that home!

Got Aggressive Pipes?

Got destructive pipes? Aggressive pipe problems demand real solutions! Corrosion occurs in a short span of time inside copper pipes. It causes numerous problems including annoying green stains and costly leaks. If you chose to undress these symptoms could lead to serious pipe failure. If your pope system is experiencing corrosion problems here’s the great news; a proven technology has made pipe replacement virtually obsolete. Introducing The CuraFlo, an epoxy pipe lining process which resolves leaks and other problems associated with corrosion by removing all signs of corrosion inside the pipe and lining the pipe with a strong and long lasting epoxy.

With CuraFlo epoxy pipe lining you can forget about the disruption of opening up the walls and ceilings housing the copper pipe. Instead, a CuraFlo installation will thoroughly clean your entire copper pipe system before installing an inert super strong and durable epoxy lining. The CuraFlo process does not require the disruption of cutting your walls and ceiling to remove and replace defective pipes. It’s like getting a new pipe system inside your old pipe system.

The CuraFlo system is great cost effective solution compared to pipe replacement, not to mention it only requires a fraction of time to complete. In addition, a CuraFlo epoxy pipe lining application has a life expectancy of 50 to 75 years compared to an unlined copper pipe installation with a 10 to 15 year life expectancy. With the CuraFlo system you will receive all the great benefits of a modern solution to your pipe problems in one package.
