Negotiation can be tricky. For some it’s as easy as pie. Others may have trouble. Here are three negotiation pitfalls to avoid to help you.
1.) Assuming the buyers really want the property when they submit an offer. In fact, an unreasonable offer may be indication that your clients don’t feel strongly about the property or would act only if they got a very low price.
2.) Letting your ego get in the way of entering negotiations with a bad attitude. You’re not doing anyone a favor if you don’t come to the game ready to play.
3.) Forgetting that your most important job is to get the deal done, even if you feel that you’re doing the listing agent’s job on top of your own duties.
