Sunday March 13th at the Orange County Marketplace (88 Fair Drive) will be the 5th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Festival from 9am-4pm! The cost of admission is $2 for ages 13 years and over, and free for children 12 and under. Free parking is also available. Three South Orange County based Irish dance schools, all of which have produced regional, national and international champions, will bring a bit of Irish and Scottish culture to the stage. Green mint ice cream and green lemonade will also be offered. All entertainment is included with swap meet admission, which is $2, or free for ages 12 and under. March 17th, ST. PATRICKS DAY, Gallagher’s Pub & Grill will be celebrating St. Paddy’s Day all day beginning at 6 am until the next day at 2am. Live Irish bands will provide entertainment for the day. Drink specials: $3 domestic, $4 premium beers (16 oz), and $5 premium beers (20 oz). Beer: Guinness, Harp, Smithwicks, plus 20 beers on tap. TOMORROW March 12th at the Atrium Hotel (18700 MacArthur Blvd.) is the 28th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Grand Ball and Southern California Rose of Tralee Presentation. This is the greatest Irish Party in Town! Dinner, Dancing, Crowning & more! This year’s festivities will begin with Complimentary Cocktails between 6:00 and 7:00pm. Tomorrow March 12th at the Joint Forces Training Base (11200 Lexington Drive) is the St. Patrick’s Day Casino Night! The Greater Los Angeles Chapter of the Association of the United States Army (GLAC-AUSA) will host a night of food, fun, dancing and Vegas-style games to help raise money for programs that support local Army families. AUSA is a non profit group that supports the Army, Soldiers including the National Guard and Reserves and their families. The cost on only $65 per person, and you can be part of a great night that includes a lavish dinner buffet, a well known local live band that plays a wide selection of music and casino games that include blackjack, craps, roulette and a poker tournament. NOW through the 13th is the Toshiba Golf Classic at the Newport Beach Country Club.  This is the 16th year of this popular PGA Champions Tour event. One of the most successful tournaments in Champions Tour history, the Toshiba Classic has risen over $12 million in the past 12 years for its lead beneficiary Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian as well as other Orange County charities. TOMORROW March 12th from 7:00a to 4:00p will be the Orange Flea Market. The Orange Flea Market is located at 146 N. Grand Street in the city of Orange. We are open from 7am to 4pm on the second Saturday of each month. The Orange Flea Market is free, parking is free, and you will love the deals on jewelry, musical instruments, collectibles, vintage clothing, cd’s & records, furniture and so much more!


March 17th from 11am-10pm McCormick & Schmick’s will be celebrating St. Patrick’s Day all day long with traditional Irish fare like corned beef sliders, Guinness-steamed shrimp and Guinness-steamed mussels available in the bar, as well as corned beef sandwiches, corned beef & cabbage and lamb stew available in the dining room. McCormick & Schmick’s will also be serving up traditional Irish drinks such as Ireland’s popular Guinness Draught and the Dublin Bulldog, as well as McCormick & Schmick’s very own “Leprechaun Kiss” cocktail. Calling all Lifeguards! It’s that time already! Coming up May 21st, 2011 are tryouts for Ocean Lifeguards. Check-in is at 8 AM @ Lifeguard Headquarters. You must have a valid California Drivers License and diploma or GED equivalent. If under 18, a parent must sign the waiver of liability. Coming up April 16th from 8am-12pm is the Community Yard Sale! The event takes place at the Tustin Area Senior Center parking lot. Coming up this summer on June 25, 2011 the Friends of the Villa Park Library (FOVPL) are happy to be putting on the seventh annual Villa Park 5K run/walk, the second annual Progressive Marathon, the first annual 10K, and the first annual interrupted 15K which starts and ends at the Villa Park High School.  Race Day Registration starts at 6 AM, 5K Run/Walk at 7:15 AM and 10K run at 7:55 AM.
