Tomorrow September 18th is the Light the Night Walk. The walk benefits the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. During this leisurely 2 mile walk, walkers carry illuminated balloons-white for survivors, red for supports and gold in memory of loved ones lost to cancer-thousands of walkers-men, women and children-form a community of caring, bringing light to the dark world of cancer. Check in is at 4:00pm, the Opening Ceremony starts at 6:30pm and the Walk Start time is at 7:00pmm. The event takes place at Angel Stadium. For more information you can visit


September 25th is the Wellness Festival from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Brea Community Center, (695 E. Madison Way). Admission is free. Begin your journey on a personal “quest” for enhanced health and well being at the Wellness Festival which showcases a variety of specialties, including medical screenings, cutting edge fitness trends, alternative and holistic medicine, aromatherapy, free massages, heart healthy food samples, the festival has something for everyone! The city and the Orange County Fire Authority are offering a training program for citizens to learn and practice disaster preparedness. The next courses begin in mid-October and are $25 per person. For more information you can visit or you can call 714-562-3554.
