Daly Honored as OC Manager of the Year!

I just wanted to take this time to recognize a friend of mine Tom Daly.

The Orange Coast chapter of the Society for Advancement of Management has chosen Orange County Clerk-Recorder Tom Daly as its 44th Manager of the Year.

Daly earned the honor through his leadership in customer service and cost-efficiencies as the county’s Clerk-Recorder since 2002, as well as for his accomplishments as mayor of Anaheim from 1992 to 2002.

Daly received the award at a May 13th dinner at The Phoenix Club in Anaheim. He was introduced by Stan Oftelie, former CEO of the Orange County Business Council and the group’s 1995 Manager of the Year.

Among Daly’s accomplishments highlighted by the group:

~Developing a multi-county electronic recording delivery system called SECURE, which is managed by Orange County and co-owned by Los Angeles, Riverside and San Diego counties. Sacramento and Santa Barbara counties also are partners in the system, designed to serve the entire state.

~Opening branch offices in Laguna Hills and Fullerton with free parking for easier access to his department’s services for residents of North and South County.

~Protecting consumers by sponsoring two new laws which bar the use of full Social Security numbers in recorded documents. Daly’s leadership also led to an agreement by The Department of Defense to allow veterans to keep only partial SSNs on military discharge forms.

Congratulations Tom!

And thank you for making me Your Orange County Real Estate Connection.
