Best Use for your Tax Refund…You!

Tax refunds are coming soon.  Small or large, most people already have plans for using that refund…

Caring for possessions – maybe update an old appliance for a more energy efficient one or re-carpet a home, new hardwood floors, paint the exterior trim.  Oh, there is always a list a mile long.

Transportation – maintenance for your car, which can perhaps prevent more expnses later by missing important vehicle maintence.

Lowering Debt – paying down credit cards is usually at the top of the list when people are asked about their intentions for a tax refund.

But what about spending the money on YOU!  Yes YOU!  Remember what that was like?  How about a visit to the doctor, dental work, a small vacation getaway or taking a self improvement class…

Just some things to consider…your comments are welcome.

Thank you for making me Your Orange County Real Estate Connection.

Best regards, Michael Caruso

OC Surfers Aiming at the Biggest Prize…the Biggest Waves!

Three OC local surfers are nominated for this year’s XXL Global Big Wave Awards Event!

There is an area about 100 miles from Dana Point called the Cortes bank and San Clemente surfer Mike Parsons (nominee for Biggest Wave of the Year Award) takes the big ride there with waves that are  8 – 10 stories high.

In fact  three well known OC surfers shined at The Grove (in Anaheim) where Billabong held it’s XXL Big Wave Awards.  The locals are Greg Long and Brad Gerlach (both are previous winners) and Mike Parsons (named earlier).

Some of the places these guys surf is: Outer reef (Oregon), Todos Santos (Baja) and Waimea (Hawaii).  Some other famous spots are: Ghost Tree, Shark Park and Jaws.

The awards throw a $15,000 – $50,000 prizes from Billabong, along with the worldwide notoriety and respect from the surfing community.

Good luck everyone and safe surfing.
