BUENA PARK

City Council members are expected to approve a $469,833 contract with R.J. Noble Co. to make improvements on Eighth St. from Gramercy St. to Knott Ave., and alleyway improvements north of Eighth & west of Western Ave.  The council will discuss the matter at today’s meeting at 5:00 pm in council chambers, 6650 Beach Blvd.

GARDEN GROVE

LA HABRA

Individuals interested in seeking election to the City Council may obtain nomination papers in the city clerk’s office beginning next Monday the 14th.  Completed nomination papers must be returned to the city clerk by 5:00 p.m. on Aug. 8th.

The City Council has adopted the city’s $24.9 million budget for 2008 and 2009.  As part of the budget, the city’s local utility user tax has been reduced by 1 percent.
